Biography
Remain in Light is a Greek band who plays ‘80s inspired gothic rock. It formed in 2010 in Thessaloniki, Greece by members of older punk and new wave formations. Y. Panteleon (Y) and T. Paschalis (Snow) were former members of oldschool punk outfit “the Grimes” who toured with the Vibrators and opened gigs for acts like New Model Army, the Stranglers, the Saints among others and recorded two EP’s (Shooting season - 2005 and April fools’ day in 2008) and a split 7” vinyl single with the legendary punk band the Vibrators. Savvas “Reverb” Georgiadis was a member of an old ‘80s greek goth band -Fear Condition- that recorded a full LP, and later during the 90’s dived into the world of electronica as a dj, artist and producer. This initial trio produced 8 original tracks. Four additional members temporarily tried to fill the singer’s seat with varying degrees of success. In spring 2012 the band entered the studio as a trio, to record 3 tracks with Asklepios Zambetas (x-Trypes, x-Mushrooms) as producer and additional musician. During these sessions a dispute over “artistic issues” as they call it, resulted in the departure of Savvas “Reverb”. Remain in Light aims to release a 10" and/or cd EP in 2013.meanwhile these tracks on.
